On Hinomoto Island in the Far East, a human sanctuary was established, where necessary supplies were provided to humans through a railway line. At Aragane Station, a boy named Hajiro Ikoma lived, who had successfully built a weapon to destroy the monsters, called "Tsuranuki Zetsu". On the day Ikoma was waiting to test his weapon, he met a girl named Mumei, who was tasked with inspecting the area for the absence of Kabane. When the girl saw Ikoma losing control, she tried to stop him, but she saw that all the train staff had been contaminated, and a sudden attack by the Kabane had formed, providing a great opportunity for Ikoma to test his weapon.
